·         Highlights:

·         Staples Inc: Supported and led a number of Enterprise Data Warehouse initiatives including, conversion of Informatica Data Mart ETL system from flat-file to time-sensitive ODS sourcing; Time dimension upgrades, Corporate Dashboard feeds, and tuning DB2 ETL Stored Procedures to use DPF memory more efficiently.

·         Ahold USA (Stop&Shop parent company): Team lead for Data Cleansing, Profiling and Reconciliation effort, as part of a larger Data Migration to ORACLE’s RMS product suite.  Responsible for overall design and development of Informatica ETL process to integrate legacy Product, Supplier, and Location data in ORACLE; then Profile, Cleanse and Match data across 3 separate operating companies, in support of reconciliation and migration into an Enterprise PIM.

·         State Street Bank: Conducted a 2 month evaluation of State Street’s Fund Accounting Data Warehouse and Data Mart environment.  State Street required a comprehensive review of these environments, including suggestions for improvement, to respond to expected data growth and business process change.

·         Plymouth Rock Assurance Company: Member of a team that designed and architected a Business Intelligence system that provides Policy Premium and Claims analysis and reporting to the enterprise.  Directly responsible for physical design and implementation of DB2/UDB8 ODS, Staging, Data Warehouse and Data Mart platforms and databases to support this effort.  Also developed a very complex portion of the ETL process.

·         FleetBoston Financial: Member of a team that designed and architected a Business Intelligence system that provides Customer Risk Assessments to Fleet relationship managers.  Directly responsible for physical design and implementation of three ORACLE9i Data Warehouse databases to support this effort.

·         Southern Skies Entertainment: Designed the workflow and integration of a custom XML-based Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) system for this startup Broadband provider.  This involved 5 different applications, including Ordering, Billing, Provisioning, Customer-Care and Inventory.

·         Conversent Communications: Analyzed the architecture and infrastructure of a telephony order-flow system that was performing poorly.  Presented a comprehensive, prioritized list of infrastructure, ORACLE database and application improvements, which were subsequently implemented by the client’s in-house staff.

·         Shetland Investments:  Upgraded applications environment to SQLServer2005/Windows 2003, migrating all previously built applications and databases, seven years after building them.

·         Shetland Investments: Completely rebuilt a 1980’s vintage DOS/Btrieve stock market analytics and trading system on Windows2000 Server/Visual Basic/SQLServer 2000.  This was a large and complex system.  All original functionality was rebuilt and significant enhancements were added across all application areas.


 

        1994 - 2001: Senior Project Manager, AT&T Broadband (formerly Media One), Lowell, MA.

 

·         Hands-on Project Manager responsible for a number of critical, high-profile development initiatives.

·         Highlights:

·         CRM: Enterprise Ticketing Engine: MediaOne's platform for Trouble Management, Call Tracking, Provisioning, and Service Order Management.  Supported their Cable modem and telephony business lines.  Built on the Remedy platform with Oracle.  Managed the team that designed, developed and deployed this system.  Starting from nothing, the team grew the user base to over 4000 users (1500 concurrent), supporting process re-engineering efforts across the enterprise.  Mission critical OLTP environment operating 24x7.  Team of 8, small budget, tactical, very high profile.

·         Data Warehousing: Launched the initial data warehousing initiatives at Media One.  Created processes to feed data from the billing mainframes to user-accessible analytical databases that are still in use today.

 

        1990 - 1994: Database and Application Engineer, UNIFI Inc. (formerly Fax International), Lowell, MA.

 

·         Ground-floor employee of this start-up business.  Designed the product support architecture for a worldwide fax delivery service.

·         Highlights:

·         Designed the databases for Sales, Customer Service, Billing and Document-Delivery.

·         Built Sales and Customer Service applications using ORACLE*Forms, SQL*Reports and SQR.

·         Developed a Billing system, which processed $1M+ in monthly revenue.

·         Integrated the Billing System with numerous internal and 3rd party systems including Vertex, ORACLE Financials and EMIS Empire, and Xerox Document Services.
