  • Managed the end-user support staff for the location and shift I was assigned to.

Chase Manhattan Bank – Global Mutual Funds Group: 1997 to 2000

 

In support of the implementation/customization of FundStation, a client/server database used to collect mutual fund pricing data, calculate performance figures, and distribute reports, I:

 

  • Acted as the liaison between bank management and a project team located in 8 cities and 2 time zones in the U.S. and Canada, consisting of external vendors/service providers as well as bank staff.
  • Gathered business requirements.
  • Analyzed FundStation capabilities, and determined the necessary level of customization.
  • Worked with the Fund Accounting Group to implement a solution to feed daily pricing data to FundStation, provide contingency reporting capability,  and maintain a backup database in the event of a FundStation failure.
  • Managed the development  of a Lotus Notes/Domino database/WWW site for bank-wide (internal) and worldwide (external) distribution of FundStation reports.
  • Produced written documentation and conducted training classes for these applications.
  • Managed the acquisition of QA testing software, Y2K testing, and the ongoing regression testing effort.
  • Served as general technical advisor during all stages of the project.

In order to resolve conflicts in various mainframe systems regarding employee 401(k) loan balance data, I:

 

  • Researched account balances to determine the correct outstanding balances.
  • Designed and instituted changes in data collection/entry and database replication/synchronization procedures to prevent a reoccurrence of this problem.
