the migration of DNR’s Revenue Management, Asset Performance, and Timber
Sales systems to a SAP MS-SQL system.
Coded Natural ADABAS programs for capturing legacy
data. Coded
ABAP and BAPI programs for uploading legacy data to SAP. Using SAP
List Viewer (ALV) – created screen views of Real Estate, Contract and
financial data. Using ABAP and BAPI’s coded Timber Sales, Revenue
Distribution, and financial reports. Coded ABAP programs to migrate all
required SAP data to Datamart. Reviewed all new ABAP
programs and optimized, reducing processing up to 30 times on several. Created ABAP, BAPI ,

As Consultant to Pacific Gas and Electric of San
Francisco during installation of SPL World Group CorDaptix system reviewed
vendor’s COBOL II code, DB2 SQL, and developed program and database
design alternatives for improved performance. Developed alternate
design for improved performance of soft table processing. Monitored SPL’s
modifications to the CorDaptix package during and after implementation. Reviewed new regulation
requirements with regard to impact on CorDaptix
implementation.
From 1998 to 2002, served as
acting ADABAS/DB2 DBA and lead technical analyst for the installation of SPL
World Group Customer Information and Billing system (CISPLUS). Developed
multi-threaded processing interfaces between SPL’s Natural/DB2 system and
PG&E’s legacy CIS CICS/VSAM system. Optimized
SPL’s Natural Construct code to reduce billing processing time over 70%
by converting subprograms to subroutines, changing the use of global data
areas, reducing DB2 reads, improved SQL code, and binding Natural objects.
Coded all required modification to SPL’s package during its three years
of active use. Developed Natural programs to compare Natural
libraries. Trained PG&E’s ADABAS DBA, and Natural

coded and tested Natural and CICS programs for the Equipment Maintenance
system. Also as project lead on year 2000 conversion of three systems with over
1800 programs, developed methods to fulfill all requirements through logical
program changes, project was completed at less than 50% budget. Fine-tuned database access in two daily
report programs and reduced production cost by $36,000.00 per year. NATURAL, ADABAS,

Weyerhaeuser Information Systems worked on the District Court Information
System (DISCIS) for the Washington State Administrator for the Courts. Designed, coded and tested
over 40 Natural programs with DB2 I/O handlers. NATURAL, DB2,
TSO, PROEDIT and WordPerfect on AMDAHL 5890 200E.
(Manufacturing 05/1988 - 06/1989)
As consultant and project lead to McDonnell Douglas developed a work-in-process inventory control system including on-line assembly explosions and remote document printing. Managed team of four programmer/analysts. Developed terminal and system sensitive badge and password security system in parallel with a super-menu concept linking all on-line screens and menus. Modified and enhanced over 300 Natural programs. Designed and programmed a Quality Assurance Information Tracking System that tracked manufacturing defects by shop floor workstations, monitored the type of defect by operator and workstation to assist in the quality assurance process. System was mandated by the U.S. Air Force. Programmed and implemented the entire system in five weeks. Made extensive use of ADABAS using NATURAL, CICS, OS/MVS, CMS, TSO, JCL, and COBOL on IBM 3090.

As Consultant to Cotton Petroleum, completed an estimated 11 man months of work in 2.5 months. Converted off-site royalty accounting system from Honeywell COBOL to an in-house IBM 4341. Saved the customer over $240,000 in off-site production costs by bringing up the system 9-1/2 months ahead of schedule. Redesigned portions of the revenue system to increase response time and efficiency. DOS/VSE, COBOL, VSAM, CICS, JCL, and EASYTRIEVE/PLUS on IBM 4341 and 4841.
