August 1996 - Present - Lead Consultant, Quality Systems & Automation, Kansas City, a company whose mission is creating quality assurance practices and methodologies, specializing in the area of automated testing tools.  Provided consulting services in the area of scripting, defect-tracking, and automation design for WinRunner, LoadRunner and Test Director.  Worked with various platforms for WinRunner and LoadRunner including: Oracle, DB2, Peoplesoft 8 and Siebel 2000. Attained the designation of TestSuite and LoadRunner Certified Product Specialist.

 

Oct 2001-Present - Sprint LTD division - Provided Process analysis, configuration and accelerated learning for TestDirector and WinRunner. Mentored novice users in the implementation and design of test cases, script creation and maintainence, and defect tracking for Sprint Local phone service web site.

 

Dec 2000-June 2001 - Sprint North Supply - Performed the roll of both functional and performance test automation lead for SNS ebusiness transformation. Designed, Planned, Created test scripts in WinRunner for Siebel 2000, Web, and Peoplesoft 8. Designed, planned, created LoadRunner scripts for Siebel 2000 and HTTP. Created test plans and process flow for performance test of large, multi-tier system.

 

Jan 2000- Nov 2000 – Butler Manufacturing – Performed roll of Functional Tester and Test Automation developer. Worked closely with development team to test the Butler Advantage application. Performed all test planning function and development functions required to validate this 16-bit to 32-bit port.

 

May 1997- December 1999 – Olsten Health Service. Performed the roll of test lead for a large prescription service application. Created system profile, test plan, and scripts for Oracle forms based application.

 

 

 

November 1993- August 1996 - AUTOMATED TESTING COORDINATOR DST SYSTEMS INC. KANSAS CITY MO

Served as team leader for the implementation of automated testing tools for AWD and other products.  Instrumental in the formation of standards, methods, procedures, and guidelines for Quality Assurance.  Devised plan and implementation procedures for automated test tools.  Responsibilities included coding and implementation of AutoTester for OS/2 and Windows. Successfully delivered scripts for use by clients with AWD.  Attained designation of Certified Quality Analyst on April 21, 1995.

MAY 1992- November 1993 - SENIOR QUALITY ANALYST DST SYSTEMS INC. KANSAS CITY MO

Performed tasks of team leader for the AWDFax project.  Served on the Kansas City Southern Industries (DST Parent) automated test tools selection committee.

 

FEB 1992- MAY 1992 - Hyperscript interface developer, Informix Software Lenexa Kansas.

Responsible for design and coding of Executive Information System, a user interface for the sales organization, using Hyperscript, DataLink, and ISQL.

 

May 1991-February 1992 - Unix Administrator, American Telephone and Telegraph, Kansas City Missouri.

Responsible for the maintenance and availability of over 80 Unix machines including AT&T 3B, Amdahl 5990's and Pyramid 7808.

 

November 1989- January 1991 - Quality Assurance Engineer, Informix Software Lenexa Kansas.

Tested, verified, and performed root cause analysis for the Wingz product on DOS Windows, Presentation Manager, Motif, and Macintosh platforms.

Accomplishments   

Was instrumental in meeting scheduled deadlines of 10 Wingz new product releases during 1990.  Mastered four microcomputer operating systems and graphical user interfaces.

 

May 1988-August 1989 - Software designer, System One Software Kansas City Missouri.

Designed, coded and debugged application software for DOS using Microsoft "C".  Developed a Compiler, Decompiler, and Evaluation program for a sales application Mastered the "C" programming language.

 

Educational Background

1983-87 - Earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration from The University of Kansas, Lawrence Kansas.  Earned 90% of all college expenses without the benefit of financial aid.
