General Experience

Structural Dynamics Research,Inc (SDRC),
9041 Executive Park Drive, Suite 212
Knoxville, TN (3/1996 – 10/2001)
- Software Engineer
Responsibilities: Analysis, development, implementation, and
training for Product Data Management (PDM) solutions using
Metaphase Technology. Projects involve object-oriented
database(Oracle) analysis with object-oriented programming(C/C++).
PDM solutions involve multiple platforms and operating systems.

Technical Specialties

Analysis, design, development, and implementation of software
applications. Programmer and user documentation, training, and
support. Development experience includes Metaphase, C, C++, XML,
JSP, HTML, Oracle, Java, Assembler, Informix, Bourne(UNIX), Pascal, and Fortran. Platform experience includes Windows (client) and NT, HPUX, Sun, SGI servers.

Project Experience

My project experience involves Metaphase implementation. Metaphase is a robust object-oriented software system used to manage enterprise data. Metaphase involves a vast Oracle data model. The Oracle architecture is accessed by an open system engine. The engine hierarchy involves hundreds of C/C++ API messages. My responsibilities involved designing and extending the Oracle architecture, and developing the custom C/C++ method code needed to process the Oracle data.

Pre-Sales Consulting and Implementation

2001 SDRC Orlando Symposium
Developed product structure report application for Team Center
demonstration. Application involved server-side C++ methods that
generated an HTML report with Metaphase (Oracle) data. Application included dynamic multi-level BOM expansion with pie chart reporting.

Armillaire Demonstration
Developed application to transfer data between Metaphase and
Microsoft Excel. Application included method code to import an
Excel export file, non-interactively refresh the Metaphase
database, and display transfer results in a Metaphase browser.

Bose Benchmark
Implemented a solution to allow custom Bose revisioning scheme.

SPAWAR
Developed product structure report application for SPAWAR Metaphase production system. Application included dynamic multi-level BOM expansion with Metaphase data formatted into HTML tables.

Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems (LMTAS)
Developed dynamic bom expansion methods to expand a top-assembly to custom Component leaf nodes. Developed generic API to process
dynamic bom expansion with any relation within the bom data
structure.

LexMark Benchmark
Developed dynamic cost rollup functionality for Lexmark
benchmark. The cost rollup involved bom structures with x
levels of expansion from a top assembly to Component leaf nodes.

Cordis Benchmark
Participated in demo requirements consulting, helped prepare RFI
document, and implemented/presented a Metaphase data security and
PSM demo for the Cordis pre-sales effort.

Intersil Demonstration
Participated in demo requirements consulting, helped prepare RFI
document, and implemented/presented a Metaphase data security and
PSM demo for the Intersil pre-sales effort. Developed dynamic bom
expansion methods to expand a top-assembly to Component leaf
nodes and online files objects (i.e. WordDoc, Drawing, etc..) of
the product data structure tree, and custom BOM thin-client HTML
reports emulating Metaphase PSM list-view and online file launch.

Fugitsu
Consulted sales and helped prepare RFI deliverable.

Canon
Consulted sales and helped prepare RFI deliverable.

Carrier Benchmark
Consulted sales and helped prepare RFI deliverable. Developed
benchmark implementation involving : batch part update, batch
part replace, custom bom report, automatic part numbering,
custom bulk load, etc.

Astec Power Benchmark
Consulted pre-sales staff and helped prepare RFI deliverable.
Developed benchmark implementation involving: Part Family custom
data MODel, default Description attribute population, custom Part
revision restriction, automatic lock-step Part - Document create
with auto part numbering, Document part number inheritance, custom
Part replace, custom BOM report.

Post Sales Consulting and Implementation

Mack Truck Corporation (3-1-98 through 11-1-99)
Implementation involved robust build and transfer of CCM name value table (nvt) data, interactive shadow copy object deletion,
optimizing performance of relation object processing using OBID
values, custom intranet Help options linked to local HTML
environment variables, case-insensitive query customization, robust custom adhoc Route customization with user-group filter and
comments per user in the route, custom e-mail notification, etc.
Primary responsibility also included extensive PDM consulting and
implementation training for Mack IT staff members. Implementation
training involved two teams, renewable over a one-year period.

Gillette Corporation (9-1-98 through 1-15-99)
Extensive CCM, LCM, and document management development with model
and method implementation. Project involves automating the
Engineering Change Control and Life Cycle process using nvt values
transferred to a dynamic participant list attribute. Deliverable
included implementation documentation.

Intergraph Corporation (8-1-98 through 8-31-98)
Consultation included best practice for OODB data model, MTI
framework usage, general implementation practice, method code
optimization, message access rule usage, and make/build
optimization. Deliverable included onsite analysis, follow-up
sample method code, and a detailed consultation report.
