Work experience |
2/2000 – 8/2000; 9/2004 - Present Software Consultant § Working for a large technology company (over 1,500 worldwide employees) designed and deployed Crystal Reports. Retrieved data from SQL Server and Oracle databases via custom SQL queries and ADO.NET data classes. Deployed reports via ASP.NET web applications written in C#. § Created surveying system with web front end and a new customized database in MS SQL Server 2000. § Developed Windows Forms (.NET) application for verification of migration into an Oracle based database. Handled research and analysis of database structure. § Developed the front end for a financial services application in C#. Engineered with .NET Windows Forms and Crystal Reports for .NET. Reports were developed based on customer’s description and layout. Designed the data sets to be used for the reports and integrated reports with .NET viewer control into the application. § Designed Crystal Reports with SQL Server and COBOL data sources. Worked with an accounting department to create reports designed for their specific needs. § Developed a DTS solution on SQL Server 2000 to migrate and transform legacy data to customer’s current database. Oversaw migration of data from a SQL Server 6.5 database to ensure continuity of data for reports. § Designed and developed stand-alone Crystal Reports viewing application in C# for the .NET platform. 12/2000 – 8/2003 Quality / Software Engineer § Developed Windows Registry software component in C++ and integrated it into product. Also produced unit tests for the software to ensure long term compliance. § Created, tested and deployed automated testing and product monitoring programs in Visual Basic for use by the Quality Engineering and Support departments and to be used by customers. § Investigated and documented bugs and tested the compatibility of software. Worked with Quality Engineers to coordinate troubleshooting and resolved problems with Software Engineers. § Configured and administered computer systems and LAN. Set up and maintained new and older computers systems. |
