Project 4: Georgia Pacific, Atlanta, GA - May 2004 - Current
Georgia Pacific is a one of the world's leading manufacturers and distributors of tissue, pulp, paper, packaging, building products and related chemicals.

•	Responsible for assisting with the conversion of data during a systems integration process.
•	Implemented and maintained cross-functional desk guide to ensure effective, efficient administrative support and manage contingencies.
•	Developed processes to manage daily workflow of information by communicating, redesigning, and establishing follow up techniques to prioritize tasks, manage scheduling conflicts, and direct priority items to attention of managers.
•	Projects include planning & designing the migration documents per business rules, executing test scripts for the go-live scenarios.

Project 3:  US Bank/Nova Information Systems, Atlanta, GA - May 2002 – April 2004

Migrated and automated the process of existing application (Portfolios) from MS-Access to Oracle. Designed, developed and maintained application using Erwin, Oracle8i & 9i, Crystal reports, FTP, UTL files, PL/SQL & UNIX shell scripts. Provided support and training to business analysts, maintained the application and database.
•	Migrated existing application from MS-Access to Oracle and Crystal Reports, Web based reports using ASP, Java Script.
•	Integrated the application database with data Warehouse.
•	Created a custom extraction system that populated a data warehouse star schema.  
•	Data loads are been performed by using the SQL loader, Imports & UTL files based on file formats.
•	Developed the UNIX scripts using KORN shell to automate jobs.
•	Tuned the application code using the Tkprof, UTLBstat, UTLEstat and Explain Plans.
•	Migrated the application from Non-relational to relational database application.
•	Took the initiative and migrated more than 80 existing Excel reports into Crystal reports & Web based reports using the Oracle Cartridges.

Project 2: Global Payments, Atlanta, GA - January 2001 - April 2002
Settlement Database Rewrite System:
Global Payments is a worldwide provider of innovative payment products and services, that manage, support and speed the processing of funds for merchants, corporations financial institutions and government agencies. Global payments settlement Database was in Microsoft Access and SQL Server. 

•	Closely worked with users to understand business needs and objectives.
•	Migrated the Settlement database from MS SQL Server, MS Access to Oracle as backend and Developer 2000 as front-end.
•	Used MOD PL/SQL that allows to create Web Applications using Oracle stored procedures.
•	Design of Star Schema for Retail Data Mart in Erwin.
•	Monitored the database and tuned the application code for better performance.
•	Upload and download files directly from the database using a Database Access Descriptor (DAD).
•	Designed, coded, documented and supported processing layer to extract data from source systems in a fixed time interval and load the data into a data warehousing database.
•	Moved nearly 1 gigabyte of data per day from the source system to the data warehouse.
•	Designed, developed the screens like main menu, cash date form, general ledger input form which is involved in refreshing data and process net settlement activity on any particular day for ACH, batch rejections, individual rejections also to produce the related reports using Developer 2000 Forms.

Project 1: Georgia Department of Education, Atlanta, GA - July 2000 – December 2000
Grants Accounting Online Reporting System (GAORS) 
Department of Education Grants Accounting Online Reporting System (GAORS) allows users to document, approve and track disbursement of State Grant awards to Georgia school systems. It provides a new web-based interface to the existing Grants Accounting Online Reporting System database. 

•	Designed, developed and maintained the Web-based application using Oracle database programming, PL/SQL, PL/SQL Cartridges, VB6, HTML, ASP, Java Script.
•	Played active role in designing the web screens to record approval budgets for local school systems. Once a budget has been allotted to a school system, it is portioned into small payments throughout the year. 
•	Developed Crystal reports to generate the approval, disbursement and grant reports.

Project 3: Georgia Department of Revenue, Atlanta, GA. - August 1999 – June 2000
Individual Income Tax System (IITS) – 
The individual income tax rewrite system (IITS) mainly deals with the processing of individual tax returns in the department of revenue, state of Georgia. IITS system is in DB2on OS390.

•	Actively participated in the migration and development of IITS system.
•	Migrated the IITS system from DB2 to Oracle 8i as a backend database and Net Dynamics as a front -end application, Established Security policies.
•	Involved in Database Design and Development of database.
•	Tuning the SQL statements for optimal performance.
•	Developed the interface programs between DB2 and Oracle from the scratch to keep the smooth operations in the cut over process.
•	Played major role in development of IITS system from Development through production cycle.
•	Involved in gathering the requirements from users and documented the system data flow and design.
•	Extensively used advanced queuing to process the on line jobs.

Project 2: Owens Corning, Columbus, OH - January 1999 – July 1999   
Fiberboard Data Conversions : 
Successfully completed the data migration from focus files of legacy system in to enterprise edition of Oracle database. The project consisted of 4 phases. 

•	Entailed migrating files from mainframe and loading them to Oracle database using SQL Loader. 
•	Involved in verification of the loaded tables compared to the original focus files by use of record counts and summary totals. 
•	Entailed using MS Access 7.0 to perform various reports validating the loaded data and data formats. Involved in designing the screens and reports by using Developer 2000 Forms 5.0, Oracle Reports.
•	Addressed any corrupted data by use of reports in MS Access 7.0. Corrupted data was identified and repaired by using a combination of Access 7.0 and Developer 2000 Reports.  Wrote the PL/SQL programs to correct the data in Oracle.

Project 1: Utility Software Systems (USS), Columbia - February 1998 –December 1998
Designed and developed GUI based utility software systems using Developer 2000. Responsibilities include creating modules like customer maintenance, payment arrangements and billing history which involved in building screens and implemented the process like delinquent accounts, charge calculations, billing and payments arrangements using database packages. Extensively interacted with users to understand business needs and objectives.

DDE ORG Systems, India					
Role: Programmer / Analyst        			                 August 1997 – January 1998
                                                                     
Developed a Billing system for housing construction industry using Oracle 7.3, Pro*C, Developer 2000 (Forms 4.5, Reports 2.5), PL/SQL, ODBC, SQL *Plus. 				      
The software featured receiving quotations from contractors in terms of labor and fixed price, terms and conditions of contract deriving final work order. System enabled generating accounting bills for a financial year. 

Involved in analysis, design, and development, testing of several modules in sales monitoring, information system for the housing industry. The system facilitates booking and cancellation of flats, transfer of flats. System generates periodically installment reminder notices, provides an interface with purchase, inventory system and financial accounting packages. Contribution to the system included performing a system requirement study, preparation of unit test plans, creating the user documentation. Design, implement and manage of data transfer between head office and remote offices. The system was designed using Oracle 7.3, Pro *C, Developer 2000 (Forms 4.5, Reports 2.5), PL/SQL, ODBC, SQL *Plus.

JPR Industries, India 						
Role: Programmer/Consultant			      		January 1996 – July1997
Designed and developed the banking database application using Oracle 7.0 & Oracle forms.
Developed screens for different complexities using Oracle Forms. This is a menu driven system with various levels of access controls and with fully enforced referential integrity constraints. The system allows the users to update and retrieve data corresponding to different accounts and also checks for several error conditions. 

Designed and developed a medical savings account system for a company to provide secondary health insurance for its employees. The system keeps track of employee insurance type, monthly due date, available cash back and insurance claim records. The system was developed using Oracle 7.0. Database triggers and stored procedures are used to update available cash back to move inactive accounts to history table.
