RESUME OF THEODORE F. DIRCZ

Ted has over 36 years of business systems and data processing experience including 28 years of consulting and project management with 10 years in the SAP/ERP environment.  He has designed, managed, and implemented systems for emerging companies as well as international Fortune 1000 corporations. 

Specific Experience:

SAP 

Boeing Service Company:   January 2006 to June 2006.

Designed and developed a web application for a Transportation Management implementation utilizing HTMLB, tabstrips and table iterator within the SAP Web Application Server environment.    

BearingPoint, Inc / InSequence, Inc. (for Raytheon):  June 2003 to December 2005

Designed and developed a web application as a prototype for an SAP front end for a Commercial Imagery ordering system.  Utilized the SAP Web Application Server integrating ABAP, HTML and JavaScript.  
Currently the technical lead for the design, development and implementation of the Web interface for the SAP implementation of the National Imagery System using SD and MM with SAP WAS using JSPs (Java server pages) and BSPs (business server pages).

Boeing Service Company:   July 1998 to January 2003.

For a large DoD agency’s SAP implementation, Ted developed ABAP/4 programs and SAPScripts to perform a variety of tasks under contract with the Boeing Service Co.  This is a high-visibility project performed by Boeing directly under the supervision of the Secretary of Defense.  Created new report programs for the Sales & Distribution, Asset Management, Materials Management, Preventative Maintenance and Financial Modules including Funds Management and the Industry Solution for Public Sector.  Applied many OSS fixes. Assisted in testing the SAP upgrades from version 3.1H, thru 4.6C.  Used the SMOD and CMOD transactions to implement user-exits in the MM, AM and FI/CO modules. Assisted functional analysts in configuring the IMG for MM and FI.  Solved major production problem when converting to version 4.6C involving SAP enhancements that would have caused delays in implementation.  Designed database structure add-ons and function modules.  Created BDC sessions for various modules to perform data loads and daily production tasks.  Created SAPScripts for Goods Issue and Goods Receipts, Checks, HR Training letters, Purchase Orders.  Developed programs for a variety of Materials Management functions, including Material Master Load, Vendor Master Load, and Funds Management Data Load.  Received a plaque of appreciation from the client for ‘Go Live’ ahead of schedule. Developed an add-on SAP module to automate transports and provide Configuration Control functionality.  Served on various committees for Configuration Management, ABAP coding Standards and landscape architecture.  Received commendation and plaque for efforts in reorganizing the financial reporting structure. Served on the Peer Review and Technical Review Boards for the agency’s configuration management team.  Received an outstanding work reward for efforts in converting new sites to SAP.  Developed custom ALE programs and configured the ALE interface for deliveries and goods issues between the existing 4.0 instance and the 4.6 instance.  Created conversion programs and system enhancements for SAP 4.6C conversion effort.  Assisted in installing and adapting the Industry Solution for Public Sector add-on.  Utilized LSMW and other tools in support of the 4.6C upgrade.  Developed interface programs for the Jetforms form printing engine.  Developed dialogue programs and tables to support the agency’s Configuration Management function.  Developed interface programs for SmartForms. 

Tennant:   February 1998 to June 1998.			

Developed SAPScripts, ABAP/4 report programs and supporting barcode symbol sets.  Created barcode label Production Planning program for the Zebra barcode printer.  Developed programs for customs documentation and overseas container shipments.  Designed and programmed batch downloads of Service Order information by coordinating tables from Production Planning and Sales and Distribution to create a field service performance database.  Analyzed and documented an approach for creating item line pricing for the SD Sales Pricing Configuration function.   	

The Toro Company:   October 1996 to February 1998.

Utilized SAP utilities and custom programs to load legacy data into Asset Management.   Assisted in testing the SAP upgrades from version 3.0D thru 3.1H.  Applied many OSS fixes.  Created new programs for the Sales & Distribution, Production Planning, and Financial modules including Treasury and Costing.  Utilized SAP utilities to load legacy data into Asset Accounting.  Used theSMOD and CMOD transactions to implement user-exits in the Treasury, SD, and MM modules. Assisted functional analysts in testing configuration for SD and FI.  

Solved major production problem when converting to version 3.1H involving SAP enhancements that caused delays in implementation.  This solution was adopted by SAP for all clients world-wide.  Developed Shop Floor Reporting module for Process Order forms, barcode labels and Bill of Materials reports.  Designed structure add-ons and function modules.  Created BDC sessions for various modules.  Lead project for the SD module involving new database structures, online transactions, batch updating, and Infostructure design.  Presented a training session for ABAP programmers on proper SQL coding techniques for enhanced program performance.   

Project Management

Ted managed the DOS to MVS conversion for the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.  This project lasted 14 months and affected all user departments in the bank.  He was the project leader for the 8 person team and was responsible for all aspects of the software conversion.  This project was in excess of 20,000 man hours. Served as project and technical leader for Burroughs to IBM conversion for First Bank Systems.  Led various projects for First Banks including Credit Card system, and Check Reconciliation.

Network Support 

Assisted in installation and testing of a wide and local area networks for Dorsey & Whitney Law firm. Installed, configured and tested various equipment including leased line and dial-up modems, bridges, repeaters, protocol converters, and communications servers. Developed dial-up procedures for attorneys and installed electronic mail servers and gateways to remote clients in the U.S. and Europe. 

Work Group Productivity

Developed various data-based applications for time accounting, financial analysis, out-dial telemarketing, recruiting and hiring statistics. 

Client Server

Developed Client Server Application in Lotus Notes for company wide job postings.  Developed Windows programs using GUPTA - SQLWindows for a Contacts Management System.  Created Class Library definitions, wrote programs to exchange data between clients using DDE, defined SQL data bases, and developed menus, and dialogs.  Utilized Clarion for Windows to develop a Fund Raising application, and a Civil Engineering Bid Tracking system.  Developed Windows applications for an Institutional Menu/Meal Planning system with Purchase Orders and Inventory using Windows NT and SqlWindows.  Worked on the development team for a Windows 95, 32 bit, web-enabled, Year 2000 compliant application for a distribution and light manufacturing system including a Contact Manager, Order Entry, AP, AR, GL, Payroll, Inventory control, E-mail, and Mail Room modules.  This system is being distributed throughout France, Canada, and the United States. 

Financial Planning

Developed various Lotus 123 models for American Express Financial Planning including spreadsheets for estate planning, college financing, etc.  Designed and assisted in developing 

Paradox databases for IDS Corporate Plan Administration.  These systems estimated costs for administering benefit plans, and produced all correspondence related to plan administration.  

Application Installation and Support

Provided buy/build analysis services for companies seeking to automate accounting functions.  Developed, installed, and trained users on customized accounting applications.  Installed and trained users on purchased applications.

Training

Taught courses for the American Institute of Banking on Lotus 123, Paradox, and Metafile.  Taught data base courses for MN DOT, Metafile Information Systems, Crystal Farms, East View Publications, and Fortis Benefits Insurance company.  Gave talks on 4th generation languages and emerging technologies to groups including the Minnesota Joint Computer Conference and the Minnesota Accountants Association.
