How to Post Jobs

• Qualifications: Before you can post jobs in the guild, you must have first placed an entry in the company lists. If you do not have a company listing, please enter one. The company listing is free.

  To post more than two jobs per month your billing address must be complete. The billing address will not displayed on your company profile page. To edit your billing address, go to your company profile page, click the "Update this page" button at the bottom of the page and enter your password.

• Requirements: We only accept software contracting jobs. Please, no permanent postions. The job posting must be for a real, specific, funded opening. Include a reference number for each job so that a contractor can refer to it in responding to the listing. Include enough job description detail so that the contractor can determine interest and evaluate the rate to charge.

• What does it cost? You get a free 30 day trial period, starting from the date of your first posting. For subsequent months you will be invoiced according to the following schedule:
  
  • First two jobs per month FREE.
  • More than two jobs US$5.00 per job posting.
  • Unlimited postings US$200 per month. Arrangements can be made for automatic "pull" of job postings from your web site.

  Jobs will be automatically deleted after 60 days, but we recommend that you delete them as soon as they are filled.

• What do we do with the jobs? All jobs are posted on our web site. We do not distribute them to other web sites. However, since they are posted for all to see some entries might be copied by other parties and posted in other databases. This is outside our control.

Signup Procedures:

• STEP 1: Go to your company profile page. At the bottom there is a set of buttons. Click the "Post Job" button. You will be prompted for your password.

• STEP 2: Enter your password. This is the password that you entered when you created your company profile page. If you ever forget your password, the registered contact person can send email to admin@scguild.com from the email address posted on your page. If we are convinced that you are the posting party, we will reset your password and email it back to you.

  If this is your first time posting jobs the program will confirm that you want to start your 30 day trial period.

• STEP 3: Fill in the job entry form and then click the "Submit" button. Your job will be immediately inserted into the database.

  The keyword search index will not be updated until the following evening, but all other pages should show the job. If you do not see the job on a page where you think it should appear, click the RELOAD button on your browser. You might be seeing an old version of the page from your browser cache.

• Deleting a Job: Go to the job description page and click the "Delete Job" button at the bottom of the page. You will be prompted for your password. The job will be immediately deleted.
